在以聚己二酸丁二酯二元醇制備的羧酸酯聚酯基TPU過程中,少數鏈為末反應的羧基(- CO2H)所封端而引人到二元醇組分中。當羧酸酯聚酯基TPU水解時,在羧酸酯(-COO-)鏈處產生鏈斷裂而生成攜帶有羧基封端的某些新鏈。這種由兩種來源形成的羧基自動催化,使TPU進一步水解并加速這種降解過程。
